The Wandering Buddha

  • Location: 2239 St. Claude Ave (Bywater)-ish
  • Ordered: Veggie Mandu, Pajeon, Fried Tofu, Kimbap
  • Thoughts: The Wandering Buddha operates from the kitchen of dive-ish bar Hi-Ho on St. Claude every Tuesday – Sunday night from 5 pm to midnight. Tables in the back patio are limited and service is slow, so be prepared to hang out for a while. The entirely vegan menu makes up in oil for what it lacks in meat- but it’s 1 of only 2 spots for Korean in the city, and the much better reviewed. So while it’s not the best, it does suffice. Skip the pajeon appetizer (it literally leaks oil) and instead opt for the ssambop (lettuce wraps). Any of the entrees look to be decent options.
