Thoughts: Between our two trips to Bacchanal, we ordered or tried (thanks to all our lovely friends who let us pick from their plates of seared fish, octopus salad, pork shoulder and dessert chocolate bark) pretty much everything on the menu; and everything was delicious! It’s very easy to love Bacchanal. It’s first and foremost a wine shop – you enter into a cave of wines and cheese to choose from. Immediate smiles all around. Then you walk back and take a seat in the island-like backyard patio. Lighting is left to the moon, torches and an assortment of Christmas tree lights strung between the rubber  dining tables, unimposing-ly bringing together the entire happy crowd. You could spend a fabulous night enjoying the wine and ambiance at Bacchanal if this was all it had to offer. But, then comes the food truck. Parked on the side of the building is a purple food truck that miraculously puts out order after order of delicious meat, fish and greens. The menu is simple but satisfying, and the overall experience here is top notch. It’s hard to make repeat visits with all the great restaurants to try in NOLA, but we’ve been there twice and I’d love to go again!
